The locals here are starting to get to know me… to welcome me onto their doorsteps, allowing me to take their pictures.
Tonight I was gifted with some bangles from the girls down the hill – they are very poor, and get tutored by a social worker who comes to teach them 3 times a week (I actually got pictures of everyone tonight) because their families can’t afford to send them to school – boys take priority.
They tell me I’m so beautiful, and that I need to wear more jewellery (Ha!). So honoured and grateful that they would give something so precious to them, away… Truly, these are a gracious people….
